Ok, so I’m only half Swedish, speak maybe a dozen words of the language, and was once in Sweden for two weeks. . . but I am a Vikings fan.

For me, Swedish is a state of mind – or a mild mental illness.  More specifically, being the child of a 2^nd generation immigrant family from Sweden affects one’s mental state.  I am adept at don’t-rock-the-boat stoicism and try to take on everybody else’s problems.  Makes me a high-functioning control freak with an overblown sense of personal responsibility.

In the non-cyber world, I’m an environmental regulatory lawyer, husband, and father of two grown children.  I have been dabbling in putting words together for some time, but this is my first effort to reach a world-wide audience.  My work is quirky, some amalgam of David Sedaris and Bill Bryson (although I am by no means putting myself in their class).  My intent is to continue producing and posting essays as well as the occasional blog entry.
